    SU! Sweet Slumber Layout

Hey there....how is your Monday going so far?

    For me it's a home day....which I'm  r e a l l y  looking forward to:-))

I've got a SU! Workshop this Wednesday.....it's a Scrapbooking one this time - playing with some of SU!s gorgeous new PP's....I couldn't wait to play with the fab textured papers "Sweet Slumber" so did a layout about our recent Wedding Anniversary weekend away....

    Casuarina Weekend Layout

These papers are great to work with and I've had fun with the coordinating colours of Ruby Red/So Saffron and Baja Breeze with the Always Stamp Set. The alpha is SU!'s Defining Alphabet and my journalling is on a hidden tag that you pull out with the tab from the Tab Punch on the top. Life Definitions is also a great set that I love to use on my layouts.

I'm off to make a hostess set and have some more scrapbooking fun. Thanks for visiting.

    Fun for Friday:-)

    3 Flowers Shabby (2)

    Hey there...how are you today?

Hope everything is well in your world. Being on holidays you'd think I'd have more creative time huh????....but nope not the case in this first week. Not complaining though as I've had wonderful time with my family and that's something to make the most of when you can.

I do have another shabby kinda card to share from last weekend though.....

    3 Flowers Shabby

Papers are Kaisercraft, chip flowers are SU!'s Batch of Blooms - I've painted them with MM paint and then covered them with Dazzling Diamonds. Also used the SU! Eyelet Border punch on some REALLY OLD text paper LOL. Shabbied up the edges with the Heidi distressing tool and inked them with some Tim Holtz distress inks and there you have it.

I'm busily putting together a SU! alpha set at the moment and will then be scrapping a couple of layouts for an upcoming workshop this week.....so I'll be back to show you what I get up to soon.

Have a great start to your weekend.

    Good-Bye June!

Wow another month bites the dust....amazing!

Thought I'd pop in and share a few bits and pieces to end the month and welcome in July.

    You Rock Card

These are a couple of cards I created in my DT position for Scrap Pile ....way back in January when I first started my 6 months DT possie....can't believe that time has now come to an end. I've had heaps of fun designing for the lovely ladies who frequent the Scrap Pile forum....they have all been so encouraging and friendly...thank you girls:-))

Here in QLD we are now enjoying 2 weeks school holidays and it has so far been just wonderful slowing down and relaxing.....DH and I spent the weekend  here and it was just WONDERFUL....

    Card Patterns 20 (2)

    Hey there....hope you've had a lovely day.

I have! Went shopping with my DD and we both picked up some lovely things....a bit of retail therapy works wonders doesn't it:-)

Another Card Patterns card to show you tonight.....I am loving their sketches. Here's the sketch and my card...

    Sketch20

    Card Patterns 20

The PP's are Rouge deGarance Sweet Dreams and the cardstock is SU! The Swirl is an Inque Boutique Stamp and the corner pieces were cut with Cuttlebug Dies. The ribbon (which matches quite nicely IRL) I received in a swap so can't identify the brand unfortunately.

Hope you have a lovely Thursday. I'll be back again soon to show you that other Shabby Chic card I had fun with.

    Bye for now....

    Shabby Chic

    Iralamija CASE (2)

    Hey there...how are you today?

I have a card to show you today that I REALLY enjoyed making...just one of those times when I felt it all worked. Probably because I gained a lot of inspiration from this gorgeous girl whose work always amazes and encourages me:-)

    Iralamija CASE

I just love Shabby Chic.....so feminine, pretty and delicate.  The spotted PP is Kaiser, the rose bud and darker red PP's from Melissa Francis, leaf from Prima and chippy flower from SU!'s On Board Batch of Blooms. I enjoyed making this card so much I started another one the next night so I'll be back to show you that in a day or two.

Happy Wednesday folks and thanks for visiting:-)))

Oooohhhh....look at this....so excited to have been chosen as one of the top 5 for this week:-)))....and check out the winning card....oh my gosh....it is STUNNING!

    Prima-Mommy and Me Range

    DT #2 Close Up

    Hey there...how are you today?

I've had a very full on week with work so not as much creative time unfortunately. I hope to enjoy some tonight though...yippee!

I've got a couple of cards from last weekend to show you though....using the oh-so-cute Prima Mommy and Me range.....I chose the PP's and Rub-Ons in my DT pack from Scrap Pile this month and they are so much fun:-)

    DT #2

I designed this card using a Page Maps sketch.....it came together so easily that way:)

The next one was just a play with the different rub-ons to make a cute little scene...

    Owl and Trees

I hope you're enjoying your weekend whatever you're up to.

I'll be back again in a couple of days...thanks for visiting:-)

    Card Patterns sketch

    Card patterns Close Up

Long weekends are the best aren't they:-))))

Hope you're having a great start to the week whatever you're up to. I've had some wonderful creative time this weekend and have made a few happy cards. One to show you today is for the Card Patterns Sketch challenge....I find that I love sketch challenges much more than colour challenges....a sketch to me is so much easier to bounce off and the creativity flows whereas a colour challenge can have me stumped for ages.

    Anyway here's my card.....

    Card Patterns

Lots of Basic Grey here -  Bittersweet PP and Porcelain Chipboard Oval Frame; Maya Road Office Sheer; Making Memories Glittered Heart; SU! Regal Rose Ribbon and Orchid Dew Drops. This was so much fun to put together:-))

I'll be back again soon to share another card.....thanks for visiting and for your lovely comments.

    Scrap Pile Card

Hey there...how is your Wednesday going?

Just popping in to quickly share the card I put up at Scrap Pile today. Played with some totally different papers today...not the sort of thing I'm normally drawn to but with a few "boy" birthdays coming up I thought these bright birthday papers would do the trick.....here's my card.

    DSC00563

The papers are Bo Bunny It's My Party line.

Pretty hectic around here at the moment with lots of school stuff keeping me busy....cutting drastically into my creative time unfortunately. Looking forward to more creative time on the weekend I hope.

    See you then...

    Rock-a-Bye Girl

    Indigo Maree Leyland (2)

    Hey there...how are you today?

I've been having fun with a SU! Simply Scrappin' Kit....Rock-a-Bye Girl.....oh my it is gorgeous. The colours Regal Rose/Pink Pirouette/Bashful Blue and Kiwi Kiss go together so beautifully and the die cut stickers that come with it are adorable. I've created this layout for a friend who has just had her new baby girl....the idea was we were all getting together tomorrow (pregnant Mum included) to scrap pages for babies first year. We were allowing plenty of time cause she wasn't due til July :-) Funny thing is...she delivered on Wednesday, 6 weeks early....OMG!!!

So we will still get together....minus now-no-longer-pregnant-friend.....and scrap the pages and present the album to her in a month or so when bubby gets out of hospital. Here is my page for the album...

    Indigo Maree Leyland

Love the Big Deal Alpha for layouts and the onboard Batch of Blooms items are fab too:0)) The only thing not SU! is the Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

Thanks for popping in to see what I've been up to...and thanks for your lovely comments.

I'll be back to share a card in a day or so. Enjoy the rest of the weekend:-)

    CPS Sketch #117 x 2

Hey there...how are you today? I hope you've had a great Tuesday.

I've had a chance to play with the latest CPS Sketch......# 117 over the last 2 nights and have made 2 cards...they're pretty simple but I had fun....that's the main thing huh:0)

The first, I was determined to use SU! Bold Brights....I just never do....so here goes....

    CPS Sketch 117

Colours are Tempting Turquoise (a Bold Bright I do love), Green Galore, Yoyo Yellow and Pretty in Pink (not a BB but I had no Pixie Pink left). Sentiment is Inque Boutique's Say It Again Set and the motif from SU!'s Polka Dot Punches Set inked up with markers direct to the rubber.

The next card for a gorgeous baby girl......

    CPS Sketch 117 Baby

Love the DCWV Nanna's Nursery Papers - from Big W....and what a bargain they are too:0)....aren't they scrumdiddlyumptious??!! SU! circle and scallop punches and Creative Imaginations paper lace trim.

I'm so glad you dropped in today to see what I've been up to.....leave me a comment if you can....I love to hear from my visitors.

Be back to share again in a day or so....see you then:-))

    Dawn McVey's Colour Challenge

    Hey there...hope you're having a GREAT Monday.

I had a play last night with my new Spellbinders Impressabilities...the butterfly one and came up with this card using Dawn's Colour Challenge for this week. It's the first time I've played along....and my colours don't perfectly match Dawn's but it's a start....

    here's the colours....

Dawn ...it's the Raspberry I couldn't really match up well.....but here 'tis....

    Dawn McVey's Colour Challenge

....the Impressability I love...what a cool little gadget...I inked it first with SU! Old Olive and then ran it through my Cuttlebug so it embossed with colour in the indentations....if that makes sense:0))

The pink is SU! Rose Red and the ribbon SU! Certainly Celery. It was a fun card to make and I have a friend having a birthday early next month who will most likely receive this card;-)

Okay, off to get dinner. Thanks for popping in and hope you can join me again in a day or two for more sharing.

    Bye.....

    Sketch This card...

    HA Swirl ChocChpRegalRose (2)

Hey there ....how's your Sunday going?

It's raining on and off here...still....pretty much determined by whether I put washing out on the line or not. /:) I have a couple of cards to share....one using the current sketch up at Sketch This...what a cool site...you can use the same sketch for a layout or card and the design team are FAB - so much inspiration.

    So Sketchy

     So Sketchy Bird

Pretty much Basic Grey Porcelain range used here with a Maya Road Office Sheer and a few Beutron Buttons and cotton.

....and another card I've played with this weekend....totally inspired by Dawn McVey ....

    HA Swirl ChocChpRegalRose

The swirl stamp is Hero Arts, Dot background from SU!, Regal Rose and Very Vanilla Card and Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon with a Making Memories felt flower tied with string.

Thanks for popping in to see what I've been up to....and thanks for your lovely comments....I'm so enjoying hearing from more of you these days.....it's one of the reasons I love to blog:x

    May 21, 2009

    Brand New....

    Brand new (2)

    Hey there...how are you today?

It's nearly Friday so that's a good feeling huh:-)))

I have a layout to share tonight....it seems to have taken me forever to finish this LO and I don't know why...it's a scraplift and only the smaller size so should've been easy peasy but nope, I was in slow mode on this one. Must've been the oh-so-cute photo of my baby boy with his squishy chubby little arms that kept distracting me from the process;-) What do you think??? Am I right or am I right???:0)

    Brand new

So if it looks familiar it's because it's a lift of the cover of Creating Keepsakes Mag (April '09). Loved the layout and when I realised the flowers were made from lace paper which I'd recently purchased I just HAD to do it...had to!!

Okay, time to get serious about some dinner prep, so thanks for popping in and seeing what I've been up to. I'll be back with a card or two over the weekend...see you then:-)

    May 19, 2009

    Bittersweet Wedding Card

    Hey there...how are you today?

I'm back to show you a recent card created for Scrap Pile using a beautiful Inkadinkado Stamp Set and Basic Grey Bittersweet papers.

    Wedding Cake Card Front

It's all very pink and lovey-dovey isn't it:0) The hat pin and beads are of course from SU!'s Pretties kit. The cream pearls are Kaiser.

I hope you're having a lovely day wherever you are...thanks for visiting!

    May 16, 2009

    Debbie's Blog Candy

Oh my gosh.....check out this blog candy....

    Blog Candy

How AWESOME is it??!! Wouldn't you just love to win it....I know I would:0))) Copics, nesties, stamps, border punch....and that's just part of it. Head over to Debbie's blog and check it out. Her work is stunning too so you'll enjoy looking around while you're there.

Some lucky person is going to be veeerrrryyyy happy next weekend...winning all of this:-)

Hope you're having a fabbo schmabbo weekend so far.

    CPS Sketch #115

    CPS Sketch 115 (2)

    Hey there....how are you tonight?

I'm back earlier than I thought this week:0))....I'm happy I've had a chance to create a card for the latest CPS sketch....

    115

quite a different looking sketch I think...here's what I came up with....

    CPS Sketch 115

    PP's are WRMK-Tiffanys Range....gorgeous bright colours. The sentiment is a SU! rub-on.

    CPS Sketch 115 (3)

Thanks for popping in to my blog....love to see you:-) I'll be back in a day or two with more to share....
