Bright blended butterflies

I am back today for Scrapbook Boutique to share another card created with Echo Park's Butterfly stencil.

You know I love my ink blending so had a tonne of fun with these sweet colours...

Pretty pastels

pastels; Lawn Fawn; Mom and Me; ink blending; Distress Inks

Happy Saturday morning all :) What a glorious feeling to have the whole gorgeous long weekend stretching out in front of us here in Qld - yaaay!

Popping in quickly to share a recent card created with the very sweet Mom and Me Stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

I kept my blending nice and soft for this one...

Distress Inks; ink blending; Lawn Fawn; Mom and Me

I used the teeny images in the set to fill in gaps around the larger images - stamped with the Distress Ink colours I had used to blend -

Worn Lipstick/Squeezed Lemonade/Twisted Citron/Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers.

Distress Inks; ink blending; Lawn Fawn; Mom and Me

Some water splatters and a few sequins were the finishing touches.

Linking up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes!

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Hello Card on Anzac Day

 ANZAC2

An early start in our house this morning to attend our local Dawn Service - we will never forget.

Dropping by on this significant day on our calendar to share a card created with Lawn Fawn's Mum and Me stamp set.

I white heat embossed the sweet images and then blended a range of Distress Inks over the top.

Echo Park Butterfly Stencil

Hi there - Linda here today on this fab Friday (leading into a long weekend - yahoooo) and I've been playing with Echo Park's Butterflies Stencil.

There are so many things you can do with stencils - very versatile tools to have in your stash.

For today's card I firstly chose a pretty paper from Echo Park's Spring Paper Pad.

I then lay my stencil over the paper and squashed Versa Mark ink all over it. The ink was then sprinkled with clear embossing powder and when heat embossed you can see the pattern through the butterflies. It's then time to choose an ink colour (mine is Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry) and you blend that all over the panel. The embossing resists the ink but the patterned paper is covered. I love the look it gives. See what I mean...
