Girly Birthday Card

Hi there...hope your day is going well.

Today I have a card to show you that I've just finished. My daughter has a friend's party next weekend so I asked her what sort of card she wanted me to make. She went through my card file and said "one like this Mum!"....so here it is.

As you can see, the card has a clear insert on the side where the bling is stuck. I cut the clear piece from stamp packaging I had put aside. You could also use transparency film.

The idea for this card comes from Nancy's blog....go check it out - she has the sweetest style.

Zoes_card_2_2_3  The second pic just shows you a different angle...with the Cuttlebugged green insert inside the card.

The paper is SEI Ally's Wonderland range and the chip alpha Heidi Swapp's "Mixed Up"....very apt on here as it's DD's fave lettering.

Nice to get the Jumbo Retro Daisy punch out again...love that thing but haven't used it in a while.

Have you managed any creative time today?

I hope so.

I'd be one cranky momma/wifey if I didn't get my "me" time I can tell you:0) Kwim?!

See you soon!

The Glasshouse Mountains

....have you ever visited this beautiful part of Australia. My parents live in the area and I completed this layout after we had visited a local lookout with them one day. It's an 8"x8" layout....which can now be found in the calendar I gave my Mum and Dad for Christmas. Such a fun size to scrap...so quick:-)

It captures a fun moment with my parents....my darling son kept blocking my Mum out of the picture -which she thought was hilarious. Even Dad got a laugh out of it.....and that's saying something;-)

Hope your day today holds a few good laughs for you.

Thanks for popping in....love having visitors.

See you again soon...

Gift Card Holders

Happy Tuesday everyone. Hope your day is going well. I have finished a couple of Make 'n Takes to show you today. At an upcoming worshop in August we will be making these Gift Card Holders.

They open up to hold the Gift Card in a slot made with the SU! Word Window PunchGift_card_samples_w_sarahs_wm_2. Also plenty of room to write your well wishes.

The card on the left uses SU! Fall Flowers Designer Series paper and the card on the right uses the Rose Red Prints Designer Series Paper (it's yummy). The image is from Fun and Fast Notes and coloured with a mix of SU! matching Ink pads, Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Pastels. A bit of glitter and Crystal Effects added for some birthday shine:-)

I first saw the idea on Dawn Griffith's wonderful blog. She has an easy to follow video tutorial here. You will love checking out all her fabulous ideas....I know I do:-)

Did you see the watermark on my Gift Card's photo? Isn't it g l o r i o u s:-)) Can you believe Sarah Klass made it for me. I saw her gorgeous watermark and asked her for some help creating one and she sent me this beauty. Not only that but she answered my silly questions about where to go and what to do so generously. What a sweetie!! My own humble creations pale in comparison to Sarah's beauty but I have learnt a lot in the process. Thanks again Sarah.

That's all from me today. Enjoy what's left of it.

See you soon.......

Easter Layout

Hello there papercrafters. Well I'm stuffed....yep, no other word for it...you know how you feel after a day at the School Fete. Plum tuckered out to be politically correct huh:) By the time this gets to you though it will be Monday so you'll wonder what the heck I'm talking about:0))

A liitle something again from the archives:0)....this time an Easter layout from this year. Thankfully DD is still happy to pose with Easter Eggs in hand. DS....well that's a diferent story.

Easter_2008wm

Lots of Making Memories sparkly goodies here. Remember this range? Out just in time for Easter.

The ranges come and go sooooo fast these days it's hard to keep up don't you think.

Well I might fall asleep at my desk tonight I'm so pooped, but hopefully I'll get a little done.

Hope you've had some time for creative play today.

Happy start to the week.

Bye for now
