Happy New Year's Eve to you

Hey is your last day of 2008 going?

It's another scorcher here in SE Qld....outside under the pergola it's 36 degrees ....I hate to think what it is in the sun. Inside the air-con is cranked up and doing it's best....

Just a fun new year card to show you today, inspired by the happy work of Nancy Vandenberg....her work is always so bright and cheerful:-)

New Year Card

The papers are SEI scraps, Heidi Chip Alpha, Kaisercraft bling, the retro daisy punch and a piece of transparency on the edge.

I hope you enjoy seeing in the New Year tonight, whatever you may get up to. I'll be back tomorrow for a brand new year of blogging:-)

Thanks for visiting.

Two gorgeous nephews:-)

Hey are you today?

We are lazing around inside out of the heat....I just went out to photograph this layout and it's 37 degrees under the pergola....eeeeewwwww!!

I have another layout completed for Mum's Calendar....lucky I'm not delivering it until the first week of the New Year or I woudn't be finished...still need some pics of my sister's family so I can do a couple of pages of them.....yes, I try to make it fair across the whole family:-)

These two handsome lads are my big bro's boys.....

Callum and Elliot Mum's Cal

Lots of Kaisercraft PP on this one....inked and torn for that masculine feel:-)

So what are you up to today on the eve of New Year's Eve?

Us...we have friends coming over for drinks this arvo.....there'll be 8 adults and 9 kids all up......fingers crossed it doesn't storm. That's what happened the last time they were all here.....absolutely bucketed down, and we were all confined to indoors....times like that we're extremely thankful for the extension:0)

Okay I'm off again....see you tomorrow.

A boy and a frog

Hey are you today?

I have the most wonderful photo to show you....check it out....

Sam with Frog Mum's Cal isn't it fabulous!

My younger brother took this photo of his son getting up close to a tiny green tree frog. It is the perfect picture for a page in Mum's 2009 Calendar....papers used are from the SU! Fall Flowers DSP pack; flowers are Kaisercraft, scalloped trims are by Doodlebug and the Perfect stamp is from Autumn Leaves...I'm rediscovering them lately:-))

Well, big day for us yesterday...we drove to Dalby and back... to go to our niece's Christening. Hey we're all on holidays, we can do these things....we have today to kick back, take it easy and recover right lol. It was a lovely day and we have 160 beautiful photos to always remind us. Here's just one of my favourites....taken by DH who pretty much takes all our piccies:0)

Isn't she just the sweetest....look at those eyes!

Okay I'm off to attack the washing.....and wash two very smelly dogs who decided to roll in something gross just to get back at us for leaving them alone all day yesterday.

A 2009 Scrapbooked Calendar

Hey are you today?

We are at darling Isabel's Christening today and catching up with DH's family for the Festive Season. We will give Nana (DH's Mum) her Calendar today as has been the tradition for 6 years now....since I first started scrapbooking. If I didn't make these calendars now there would be some serious questions....apparently, or so I'm told LOL.

So here's a look at a few pages from the calendar now it's all together.

100_1263 This is the front cover.....the size is 21 cm x 21 cm and I buy them from Paper & Stuff at Cooranbong, NSW ...only about $15, so very reasonable. (They have 12 x 12" ones as well). DD will colour parts of the front is the tradition:-))

100_1266 I try to stick the completed LO with a month that has relevance to it. Hence this page goes with June cause that's when Isabel was born...June 13, 2008.

This next page being an Easter LO had to go with April of course.....

So, there you have it, a little look at the finished product. I always think it would be a great idea to stick little photos of those having birthdays onto that date on the calendar but I always run out of time to do so:-(

Anyway, have a great day and see you tomorrow.
