July 2009

Woohooo it's Wednesday:)

Don't you just love Wednesdays?:-)))

Well I do cause it's my day "off" work....the day I do the grocery shopping, laundry, blah blah blah....and squeeze in some creative time if all goes to plan;-)

Today I have my next Big Picture Scrapbooking class layout to show you. I am REALLY enjoying Nic's classes and am having so much fun with my scrapping again....that's a GOOD feeling:-)

For this layout I asked my DD what she thought about me and here's her response.....pretty spot on actually...

The pp's are Fancy pants Kraft Kuts....I'm enjoying all the die-cut shaped papers at the moment:)

Well, I'm off to hang out the next load....catchya later...thanks for visiting:-)

Super Saturday:-)

Hey there....how are you today?

We've had a fab day...we all went shopping!! The 4 of us...together.....it was fun:-)

DS needed some new things for a sporting trip out to cold ole Toowoomba so we had a lovely time getting what he needed....although he's such a boy...after trying on 5 things he'd had enough, time to go home now. DD on the other hand would try on clothes and shop all day if she could LOL.

I'm very happy to have finished my first layout for Week 3 in Nic's class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking. I am just busting with ideas to scrap for this week following Nic's guidance and am sooooo enjoying my scrapping again. S o  m u c h    F U N :-))))

For this layout I asked my 15 year old son what he thought about me.....

My Mum Is...

.....I wrote it down as he said it. Funny thing is you can tell what I nag him about from reading this list LOL......standards of hygiene, brushing his hair, too much junk food. Fancy that :-))

I hope you're having a great weekend too. I'm off to begin layout #2 showing DD's perspective this time.....another telling interview!

Thanks for visiting....hope you'll drop by again in a day or two.

CPS Sketch 125

Hey there...how are you tonight?

Before I head to bed I just wanted to get my card up for the latest CPS Sketch....oh my gosh, I think this is only the 2nd card I've made this month...shock, horror. I'm stunned! I've been scrapping instead this month haven't I LOL.

But I couldn't resist playing with new-to-me SU! papers, Raspberry Tart with this easy sketch....

here's my card....

CPS 125

I had fun making the accordian flower....and just love the colours of this paper....so bright and fresh.

The week 3 inspiration is up over at Nic's class at Big Picture Scrapbooking and I am so inspired to get scrapping....can't wait to attack my next layout....it's all about us this week - eeeek- so I've been madly interviewing the family tonight trying to glean their responses which will become the journalling on this weeks layouts.

But that will all have to wait til tomorrow night.....aaaaah thank goodness tomorrow is Friday huh LOL. Have a good one girls and thanks for dropping by.

Week 2 of Nic's Class

Hey there...how are you today?

I'm back with my next project to share from Nic's class over at Big Picture Scrapbooking. This class is all about the journalling and I am really trying to journal with a different perspective to what I would normally.....more than just who, what, where, when, why iykwim:-)

I've also tried to use more candid shots....just the natural pics that DH is so good at snapping.....often capturing the moment perfectly.

For week 2 I've created a mini-album about last Christmas.

Here's the front cover....

Xmas Mini Album 1 ....I made a 6"x6" chipboard album and have used My Mind's Eye papers and die cuts with a range of coordinating SU! colours and border punches from SU! and Fiskars....kept it all pretty simple really.

...and a few of the inside pages....

Xmas Mini Album 5B

I'm happy I've finished this project in time for the Week 3 class to go up at BPS tomorrow....I'm trying desperately to keep up with each session and not get behind....it's so hard to catch up when that happens.

Tonight I'm actually working on a card for the current CPS Sketch so I'll be back to show you that in a day or two.

Thanks for popping by!
