Hey there...how is your Sunday going?

Lots of time to play here with DS at work, DD at the local show and DH installing a new toy on the boat.....yaaaaaay:-)

I've created a card for Beate's Weekend Sketch which looks like this....

  and was heaps of fun to play with.

I've used some new SU! papers...the very gorgeous Parisian Breeze and love love love them:-) Well Chocolate Chip/Baja Breeze and Kraft...what's not to love? :))

Just popped in quickly to share a masculine looking card I made earlier this week....I cased Mercy Kerin for this card.....my my doesn't she ever produce some drool worthy work:))

Karen Russell's Treadmill Desk to be exact....of Narratives fame....oh my, you have to check out her scrap room, if you're into vintage you will LOVE it....very cool.

I asked hubby if I could have a treadmill desk.....won't tell you exactly what he said but something about not living with me anymore if it came to that *lol*. Hmmmph...I thought it was a great idea;-)

Hey there...how's your weekend going?

Way tooooo fast I'd have to say *lol*

I have had some "play" time though and have created 2 Father's Day cards ready for September 6.

The first card uses Beate's WSC which looks like this.....

  

and my card turned out like this.....

 

The paper is SU!'s Urban Oasis and it's fabbo schmabbo for male cards don't you think:) While I was in the male card mood I whipped up another one with the same goodies.....

This one uses the Clean and Simple Fall to Layout #56 which looks like this....

  

and my card turned out like this......

 

Clean and Simple was FUN!!!:-)))

Keesh's Sketch Challenge

Good Morning...how's your Saturday going so far?

Last night I had time to play with Keesh's latest Challenge - so happy when I saw it was a sketch:) cause they're my favourite:-)))

Here's the sketch....

 

and here's my card.....

 

The stamp is from SU!'s Punches Three Hostess Set, stamped with Regal Rose and Certainly Celery and the papers are DCWV Nana's Nursery Range....huge 12x12 pads you get from Big W for $20. Enough baby girl paper to sink a ship *lol*.

I had fun with this one....playing with all those pretty colours and of course one of my all time fave things - spots!!

I also had fun this week making a pile of teeny thank you cards....I love to staple them to my SU! orders....

 

 

For these I've used the new Scallop Oval Punch and matching Oval All Stamp Set from the SU! Spring Mini....fun, fun, fun to play with :-)))

Wonderful Wednesday!

Oh how I LOVE Wednesdays:))))

The groceries are all put away the washing is out and I have time to concentrate on other much more enjoyable tasks *lol*

I had a play last night with the latest CPS Sketch...#129....it looks like this....

  

and my card turned out like this.....

 

...a pretty girly number - the papers are Imaginesce, ribbon is SU! as is the stamp, from Eastern Blooms - coloured with Regal Rose and Old Olive. The tiny HB sentiment is from a MY Sentiments Exactly birthday set.

Hey there....back again....twice in one day - not bad huh:-)))

Thought I'd share the card I've finished this afternoon for both the Our Creative Corner Christmas in August Challenge and I Heart To Stamps latest sketch for you to try that looks like this...

 

....put the two together and this is what you get.....

 

...papers were left over from last Chrissy but I still love the colours in these, stamp is SU!'s from the Best Yet Hostess Set, Making Memories glittered chip star and pink felt heart and a bit of kaiser bling to finish it off. That's 2 Chrissy cards down ....only 38 to go *lol*.

Sunday Salutations

Hey there...how's your Sunday going?

Yesterday after working a few hours at the school fete DH and I choofed off to see this...

   

The Ugly Truth....and it was a pretty ugly truth let me tell you....but we laughed and thanked our lucky stars that we have each other so that's a good thing huh *lol*:)

I've had some creative time to play with some cards....first a Get Well Card....

 

...very similar to one I designed a few weeks ago....using the new Walk in the Park DSP from the SU! Spring Mini with the Great Friend stamp set, Frames With a Flourish swirly doovey, Baja Breeze ribbon and oval Nesties.

....and then a Wedding Card....one of our workmates is getting married and I'm being asked to make cards....oh the pressure *lol*....

 

The stamp is SU's from last year's Spring Mini and the paper is Tiffany's from WRMK. Sweet, fun colours for a spring bride:)

I'm working on another more formal wedding card now so will be back to show in a day or so.

I hadn't used any of my BG Lemonade 6x6 paper pad yet so have loved dipping into it tonight for the latest 2S4Y sketch.....great sketch too....lots of fun:)

I'm off again....DH has asked me to make a Get Well Card for someone at work so that's my next project for the evening.

The Ballina Tradition

Hey there...how are you today?

It's Friday....now that's gotta be a good thing. This is perhaps the quickest photo taking session ever for me so excuse the crooked pics or flash shine on the photos but I'm in a hurry trying to get something up to show you:)

I finished this double page layout after the last session on Nic Howard's Class at Big Picture Scrapbooking....I wanted to talk about our holiday tradition of returning to the same familiar spot each year and why we love that.....again the whole family has got in on the act and told me why Ballina is special to them. Nothing very fancy about the layouts....just photos and journalling really. The important stuff:) Paper is BoBunny's Love Shack. I printed the title and hand cut......wish I had a Silhouette LOL. It's good to have this in our album now - love to see how the kiddlies have grown up as kiddlies do :-)))

I'm off to have some fun with a couple of card sketches tonight. I hope you have a fantastic evening too and I'll be back again real soon.

Pals Paper Arts

There's a new challenge blog just started up called Pals Paper Arts. They have a sketch up this week and it looked fab to me.

So I had some fun with it - flipped it and made my first Christmas card for the year. It's pretty simple I think....the white edge is embossed with white EP....just for something different.

 

So that's one Chrissy card down only 39 to go LOL!!!

This card just fell together and I'm not sure that's great but a n y w a y LOL...here it is.....

We've had weekend visitors and have been busy but now I have some time this afternoon to create....aaaaah, feels GOOD:-))))

Hey there....how are you today?

Well as far as days "off" go today was a good one - some house work, school work, grocery shopping and then time to play in the afternoon:-)))

I'm glad I've finished the LO I mentioned....totally inspired by Nic Howard and pretty much a scraplift of one of her gorgeous layouts.....I just loved the idea of putting this into words....warning-lovey dovey layout ahead LOL...

 

Papers are SU! Walk in the Park; SU! eyelet border punch; homemade chipboard hearts and BG chip swirl.

Today I ordered my Mum and MIL's 2010 21x21cm calendars so I can start scrapbooking them....it's become my traditional Christmas gift. I'm also starting Chrissy cards any day now....it was so good getting into them early last year and I want to be that organised again this year:)

Wish me luck LOL.

Wow....is it really August already? But where did July go? And June for that matter???

Sorry I have no new creativity to share with you tonight...life is busy and creative time is taking a back seat but I'm slogging away at a LO for Nic Howard's Big Picture Scrapbooking class so I'll be back with that real soon...I hope:)

In the meantine I can certainly direct you to some fabbo schmabbo inspiration from one of the most amazing scrappers imo....Kelly Goree! Wow I love what she does with BG.

The 2010 Basic Grey Calendar!! I always make a few calendars for the new year and I would love to put together this one with lots of Basic Grey yummies for our kitchen calendar....that would make me happy just looking at it I'm sure;-)
