Hey there...how are you today?

We had a big night last night at DH's end of year staff do....Polynesian theme it was so here's a piccie....don't laugh too much.....we do like to get into the spirit of these things:))

 
  
So after a crafty get-together yesterday and staff do last night I am definitely staying IN today. DH and DD are going Christmas shopping and grocery shopping so bless their little cotton socks:))))

Here's what I've created this week for the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch.....the sketch looks like this....

and my card looks like this.....

I had so much fun with this sketch and these new Grace Taylor papers....love love love the patterns on these...and they're from Big W I tell you...all together in a huge pack for about $10....woohoo!! They are soooooo gorgeous. That's pretty much all I used on this card....with some tea dyed lace, a die cut tag, my new loop edge border punch from Martha (the obsession continues!) and a ribbon scrap.  

Oh before I go, check this out.....it's my Chrissy pressie from DH coming to me this week from Shop and Crop....look at that great discount!!...can't wait to get it on the wall and fill it up.....

 I have been chosen as the card maker on the Shop and Crop Design Team. I am so excited to be a part of this great team.

Weekend Workshop

Hey there...hope you're having a happy hump day.

I've managed to get some more Christmas shopping done and have also prepared a hostess gift and lucky door prize for a workshop this weekend.

The group of crafting ladies that originally formed when I was a SU! demo want to continue our crafting get-togethers so we have one this Saturday. I have played with a range of Christmas goodies to make some gift tags which I will bundle up for the hostess and door prize winner.....here they are all laid out together....

....how grateful am I that my Mum saved all this beautiful ribbon of all shapes and sizes for me...cause that's where I found 2 long lengths of this scrummy red ribbon....just perfect.

Okay, I'm off to get some dinner happening.....I'll be back early in the morn to share my news....can't wait til it's not a secret anymore:))

A birthday celebration and Mojo 113

Hey there...how's your weekend going?

We are celebrating a special day today.....my DD's birthday:-)) She bounced downstairs at 6:30am to open her pressies on our bed as is tradition in our home. This pressie was a very big hit....

I've had some bonus card making time today...but not for a good reason unfortunately...DD woke up vomiting and now that's stopped she's got a temp and headache. So in between tending to her, doing the washing and trying to keep cool (phew what a scorcher hey!)...I made this....

Hey there...hope you've had a great Saturday. I had a lovely lunch with friends and a bit of crafting time tonight....so that's the mark of a pretty fantastic day I think:-)

Another layout for Nana's Christmas calendar....showcasing a cute photo of her youngest grandchild....darling little Isabel....

Background paper is SEI, smile rubon is SU!, along with scalloped oval punch and the punched hearts. Scalloped borders are the Fiskars Apron Lace Punch and SU! scalloped edge punch.

I know it's short and sweet but DD is keen for me to watch a movie with her so I'm off. See you again in a day or two....thanks for visiting!

Hey there...how's your Wednesday going?

I hit the shops this morning, put a dent in the credit card but got some birthday (DD) and Christmas shopping out of the way....that feels a little better:-))

I am late this week with my Mojo Monday Sketch Card....but I loved the sketch and wanted to make another Chrissy card with it...here's the sketch.....

 I thought that square block would be perfect for a little collage of photos....what do you think?...

My, they do seem to go by incredibly fast don't they.

We just pottered around the house catching up with odd jobs and getting our strength back after our sicko week. It was good:)

I caught up on a bit of crafting, a Calendar layout, 2 layouts for an upcoming crafty get-together with friends and a card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge # 105...couldn't resist making another chrissy card....I'm on a mission with them you know...I'll have to count up how many I'm up to this week:)

Holiday Button Bits Fun

Hey there....how are you today?

I am so happy to report that both DH and I are getting back to normal. We're back at work and feeling more like our old selves each day....thank goodness:-))

I have played a little more with the wonderful Papertrey Ink Holiday button Bits set and am having so much fun getting some Chrissy cards made...they're piling up in the box now I'm happy to say:-))

Here's the latest couple I've added to the pile...

I must admit I just love this one.....I think the little snowman is sooooo cute. Which is really quite hilarious because here in SE Qld it'll be about 35 degrees celsius (at least) on Christmas Day but I still love the thought of the little snowman with his Christmas wish....go figure huh:-))

Icky sicky:(((

Oh dear...both DH and I have been sick and haven't had the energy to do anything. After a visit to the doctors today I'm off for a pile of blood tests in the morning so hopefully in a few days I'll have some answers.
