Sunday Salutations!

CAMP

Hey there....how has your weekend been?

Just popping in to say "Hi"....I haven't been around as we've been away camping this weekend for a friend's 50th birthday.....we stayed at the fabulous spot you see above....Spring Gully Stays at Canungra...it was a dream our friend had to get all her family (including many from down south) and her friends all away together for her birthday weekend...and it was brilliant!

Those who didn't have camping gear could stay in permanent tents like these...

they were clean and comfortable and having everyone together like this worked so beautifully.....here's a few piccies of what we got up to....

....a great spot to eat, drink and be merry.....

...here's the dance floor.....

So if you're in the SE Qld area and looking for somewhere close for a great camping/clayton's camping getaway I can recommend Spring Gully Stays for sure.....a great weekend that we will long remember:-)

Okay....I'm off to wash, and tidy and catch up before the working week gets underway again....see you again with some creativity in a day or two.

Christmas '09 Layout

Hey there...how's your day going? I hope it's been a good one.

I had a lovely surprise yesterday when I arrived home from grocery shopping (always a joy *lol*) to find

this on Betsy's blog....

P.S.  I have selected a winner for my In Pieces challenge....Linda!

Hey....that's me!!!

You'll remember I made this card for Betsy's paper-piecing challenge recently.....

Betsy's Paper Piecing challenge side
well I was chosen as the random winner of Betsy's goodies....feeling very lucky:-)) Woohoo!!

Also want to show you the layout I mentioned in my last post....I scraplifted a layout by Jill Marie Paulson in the December Issue of CK....it was the perfect layout to show off a few photos....and gave me a great chance to go crazy with my beloved border punches.....

Christmas 09 double

The papers are October Afternoon and are soooo cute! Martha Stewart Double Loops punch and SU! scallop edge punch. Journalling block is My Mind's Eye and gingerbread man accent is from Papertrey Ink's Holiday Button Bits Set. Chipboard letters are Bella.

Here's each page by itself....the left hand side....

Christmas 09 LHS
and the right hand side....

Christmas 09 RHS

So happy to have this layout in my album as it was a wonderful Christmas Day that I don't want to forget.

I won't be around much on the weekend...we have a friend's 50th birthday celebration happening over the 2 days and it's going to be  BIG !!

I hope to be back Sunday afternoon to share more...see you then:-)

Woohoo it's Wednesday!

Kaitlyn's Card close

Hey there...how are you today? I'm stuck at home this morning while the pest man gets rid of all the pests so I'm trying to get a lot of little jobs done while he sprays here and sprays there....

I haven't had a lot of creative time so far this week...I've been too tired each night unfortunately...but I did make a card last week, under DD's strict specifications *lol* for her friend's 13th birthday.....

Kaitlyn's Card
....DD looks through all my cards saved on the puter, picks out the design she wants for her friend and then lets me know which colours that friend loves.....in this case bright colours:)

Stamps:  Hero Arts background and My Sentiments Exactly sentiment

Ink:  SU! Turquoise; Versa Colour Lime Green and Pink

Cardstock:  Whisper White, Turquoise and Green Galore

Patterned Paper: None

Other:  Provo Craft Tag Die; Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon; Kaisercraft Rhinestones; Martha Stewart Double Loops Border Punch; string and button

Thanks so much for dropping by to see what I've been up to. Today, in between the pest man, grocery shopping and running around town I hope to work on a double layout for Christmas 2009....it's all laid out on my desk ready to go so wish me luck;-)) Looking forward to some scrapping fun!

Bye for now...

Kid's Party Bags and Blog Candy Winner:)

Hey there...hope you're having a great Sunday:)

We had a fantastic lunch at the beautiful Mermaids Restaurant and are not long home.

DD drew out Viriginia L's name so congrats to you Virginia.....I will shoot off a quick email to you to grab a postal address.

Here are the 2 party bags....so easy to create with a Nestie die-cut shape used for the top and patterned paper to support the cellophane bag full of goodies...
