The Alaskan Cruise

We have just returned from our week cruising Alaska's Inside Passage, docking at the capital Juneau, then the towns of Skagway and Ketchikan and cruising through Glacier Bay National Park. It has been the most amazing week. The wonderful sights and the gorgeous people we have met will live long in our memories. Waving "hello" to Patty and Bill from Texas (aka Miss Patty and Sir William) who we spent time with each evening as we enjoyed our dinner in the Vista Dining Room with our fabulous window seats. Hope y'all are enjoying the next stretch of your journey in the RV and are fixin' to visit us in Aus real soon y'all. We're missing our Texan language lessons. We hope Bill is still making good use of his Aussie slang. We feel so grateful to have seen this unique part of the world. Here are some of the magical moments from the last fun filled week... Image

See the snowball shot - that's my first time playing in snow and that snowball - it hit Bruce (chief photographer) in the left eye. (Thankfully he had glasses on.) Well he did tell me to throw it at him (just for the photo) so I was only following instructions lol. Tomorrow we head by float plane to Knight Inlet, a remote wilderness lodge where we look forward to seeing grizzly bears in the wild. Another update in a few days ...

Greetings from Alaska

Am pinching myself - can hardly believe we"re actually here in Alaska enjoying our Holland America Cruise. Docked in Juneau today and currently enjoying the town and some internet coverage. Weather is 13 degrees Celsius so I've got 6 layers on but at least I'm not cold:) The cruise is awesome - lots of fun activities and we're having a ball filling our days and nights. The Alaskan scenery is stunning - snow capped peaks, low lying cloud, lush, green vegetation, icebergs dotting the ocean, pine trees as far as the eye can see. Here are a few pics from the last few days - Image

San Francisco

We loved the atmosphere of San Francisco. The laid back holiday feel. Loved the cable cars and the windy, hilly streets. We walked and walked. Gorgeous Muir woods outside of San Fran with the massive Redwood Trees and chipmunks so tiny and of course the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Here's a few pics.... Image
