A Happy Scramper

Oooops AWOL:(

Oh dear...sorry about that.....I've been a slack blogger this week and I have a really bad excuse....

pathetic in fact....

I'm not happy with myself....

and it was all because of this....

and then this.....

I was totally sucked in to the whole saga....

like I'd been swallowed up and was spinning around in this huge vortex, unable to get out and totally consumed by the comings and goings of the weirdest group of characters I've ever met in my life.

What came over me? I hate vampire stories. I hate  scary stories too.

Well actually DD helped me there....by giving me a few hints as to what was coming up so I wouldn't totally freak out....that got me through....yep I'm a wuss and that's all there is to it! Guilty as charged!

But, you know what...I used to love to read but I just can't any more cause I love my card making/scrapping too and I just can't seem to do both...well I certainly haven't managed to in the last week or more. Pathetic! Thank God that's over...I really do feel a relief that now my life can get back to normal and I will have heaps of time (well some anyway) to create my little heart out. Stay away compelling, soppy sagas....I don't want to read you!! *lol*

Thankfully, I do have something creative to share...another layout for my Mum's Xmas Calendar....20cm x 20cm...such a lovely size to play with.

I try to keep these fairly simple, fairly flat cause once the calendar is full with the 12 layouts it all adds up to a bit of bulk hanging on or more like off the wall.

Patterned Paper:  Basic Grey Indian Summer

Other:  Cuttlebug Embossing Folder - Distressed Stripes; SU! brads-More Mustard.

Tonight, now that I am free from Stephanie Meyer's sneeky little clutches, I have a page of Card sketches I plan to attack and enjoy every quiet little creative moment of the process....aaaaah life has regained it's normality again.....bliss:-))))

Another Scrap Pile Challenge Layout

Hey there....how are you today?

I have not long got home from collecting a sick girl from school....poor thing ...hope she can throw it and not be sick for long.

I have a layout to show you finished last night for Kylies' colour challenge over at Scrap Pile. The colour to use was Aqua....such a beautiful colour, I loved working with it.

   

Here is my DD and her friend with their wonderful Year 7 teacher...taken at the Year 7 presentation Night in December last year...happy memories to go into DD's album.

PP's are Making Memories (scalloped circle), SEI Aqua Dots; and Scenic Route White. Also used the SU! scallop edge punch, some Aqua lace trim; Kaisercraft White Fozz Felt and pink pearls, SU! cream pearls and Prima flowers.

I have just tucked DD in so hope she can get some sleep. I'm off to attack some more washing and then make 3 more cards for the Heart Card Appeal I mentioned here in a previous post....then I will have 10 cards and envelopes ready to send to Jodi .
