Scrapbook Boutique October Blog Hop and Challenge

Hey there - Welcome to the Scrapbook Boutique October Blog Hop and Challenge.

There are two fun things for you to do -  the Blog Hop and the Challenge -

  • Leave a comment at each DT girl's blog and then finish with a comment on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog itself where the random winner will be drawn.

You have one week....the hop closes midday October 17 and the winner will be announced on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog soon after. Good Luck!

(Head back to the SB Blog if you lose your way - you'll find the complete Blog Hop list....hop and challenge open to Australian and New Zealand residents only.)

Next - pull out your craft supplies and get busy with this month's Inspiration Challenge - we have another amazing mood board to inspire you.

These boards were created by Audrey T who has kindly given Scrapbook Boutique permission to use them.

Here is the gorgeous mood board for October -

October Mood Board

Being a big pink/gold fan this is a mood board right up my alley lol.

Here's my card ...

I've used Mudra's new Map of the World stencil and applied Gold Modelling Paste. So glorious and shiny...

The sentiment is from MFT's Because You stamp/die set.

Can't wait to check out your creations.....have fun!

Happy World Card Making Day

I'm so delighted that I had a chance to create a card today - in celebration of WCMD. I feel so blessed to have this hobbie that brings me so much joy - not only when I'm creating the card but when I'm giving it to someone special as well. Not to mention the beautiful crafty friends that I have made along the way who are just as crazy about paper crafting as I am.

Today I was smiling from ear to ear playing with Altenew's newest Build-A-Flower set - the Rose. Oh.My.It.Is.Glorious! My desk was covered in inks as I experimented with a variety of colour combos. Here's my card...

Sending Smiles Angled

On the pink rose I used mainly Altenew Inks (Frosty Pink/Pink Diamond/Pinkalicious/Rubellite/Razzleberry and Distress Seedless Preserves in the centre) The yellow rose was a real combination of brands (MFT Insulation Pink and Orange Fizz/Memento Dandelion, Tangelo, Potter's Clay and Rich Cocoa) For the leaves I used Altenew's Bamboo/Parrot/Olive and Moss inks.

The sentiment in Kristina Werner's gorgeous handwriting is from Simon Says Stamp's Handlettered Encouragement Set.

Sending Smiles CU

A smattering of Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins was the finishing touch. Think I'll link this up in the SSS WCMD Gallery :-)

I hope you have some fun creative time today.

See you again on Tuesday for the October Challenge for Scrapbook Boutique.

Brad turns into Rudolph?

Hi there - thanks for joining me today. You're just in time to check out my latest card and video for Scrapbook Boutique.

I've been having a tonne of fun with a new die from Cheery Lynn Designs - called 'Brad the Reindeer'

It was love at first sight when I spotted 'Brad' in store and he's been lots of fun to work with - here's my card for today ...

As you can see 'Brad' turned into 'Rudolph' (how could I resist!)

I also created my own plaid stencilled background. I hope you'll enjoy seeing how my card came together in the video below or in HD on my You Tube Channel -
