Magazine Cards

Hey there! Welcome to the weekend....I hope yours is off to a great start.

The 4 of us headed out for Malaysian last night which was just lovely. So far today it's been very rainy and stormy which is  just perfect for indoor pursuits :) Like finishing off that layout I mentioned the other day....just a little hand stitching to go and I'll have it ready to share.

Until then I have a couple of Xmas Cards published in the latest Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft Magazine. I created them for the Stampers Challenge using this sweet new Abi's Craft stamp set.....Cameo Christmas.

I just love these soft colours for Christmas cards.

Then I went a little more bold on the next....

 

Some sweet glossy black embossing:)

On both cards I have used a Making Memories Card Base....love their cool decorative edges and they're so easy to just peel from the pad and put straight to use.

Christmas Cards

Hey there...how's your week going so far?

I hope all's well wherever you are in the world:)

I'm popping in quickly on this Wednesday morning to share a couple of Christmas Cards. I'm just starting to make one here and there so that by December I'll already have a nice little pile of them....well that's the plan anyway...wish me luck ;-)

Making a list.....

 
Hey there.....how's your 23rd of December going?

I am crossing things off the list here:-))) Pressies are wrapped and under the tree....that's always a good feeling huh.

The tags I'm showing you today were created for Shop and Crop using Basic Grey's merry Jovial range and have all been put to good use on pressies for family and friends.

 

 
 
 

Another thing I've crossed off the list is my Mum's Christmas Calendar....

 
Isn't this is a beautiful photo of my sister and her eldest daughter?!

Now I am working on my Mum-in-laws calendar (we won't see them until after Christmas) and only have 2 layouts left to complete....I am determined not to make a card until those 2 layouts are done....and that's killing me cause I just got a new There She Goes stamp set in the mail and I'm dying to use it!!

Best I chooff off and get those 2 layouts done then huh!

My last Christmas Card for 2010....I think:-)

 
Hey there...how was your day?

DD and I spent hours finishing off the Xmas shopping but yippeee it's done....now I've just got to wrap them all LOL.

I think this will be my last Christmas card for this year.....I really need to concentrate on the calendars now.

The image on this one is a free digital from Terrier Toppers and Little Dog Designs.....it's very sweet isn't it:-) I coloured it with my Copics and then matched it up to a few Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly papers left over from last Christmas. The felt ric rac is from My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink-Fine and Dandy trims.

 

Tonight I also want to share with you a couple of beautiful cards I have received from creative friends.

The first one uses the sweet Hero Arts Wreath stamp and it looks sooooo good embossed in white on the kraft -

 

The second card is so beautiful all in white with lots of embossing...here's a close up -

 

 
It is so lovely to receive these special hand made creations and I really treasure them:-)

Before I scoot off I'm excited to share that my cards will start selling on Alicia's new blog Aussie Cards for Sale...I wish Alicia every success in her new venture. There are certainly some bee-utiful cards over there if you haven't had a peek already.

Deck the halls......

Hey there...how's your Saturday going?

It's been a big washing day here....rather difficult with the rain we've had but I'm slowly but surely getting there without using the dryer constantly which I hate.

Back as promised to show you a few more Christmas cards created while I was away.....

 
This one uses PTI's Holiday Button Bits again with Echo Park papers.....

 
 
....a very simple one above using BG Jovial paper pad and a Jovial layered sticker.

 
....this one uses a free digital image which I regrettably don't know who from:-( (silly me forgot to record it)..... with BG Eskimo Kisses papers.

 
....and that's it for another day:-)

I'm off to work on layouts for my Mum's Christmas calendar.....I've got about 4 to go and the same on my MIL's too so better get my toosh into gear!

Sorry I didn't get a couple of posts organised before our week away....I just ran out of time:-(

We've enjoyed our annual pilgramage to this wondrous location in beautiful Ballina. We've spent the week swimming, boating; shopping, reading; fishing; watching movies....and dodging the rain.

I of course must have some crafty stuff with me so here's a pic of my set up on the dining table overlooking the waters of North Creek....

Christmas Gift Bags

 

Hey there.....I hope you're having a good week so far.

Just popping in tonight to share the Christmas Gift Bags I created for Shop and Crop. I had a lovely time playing with Kaisercraft's Tis the Season collection.

It's a beautiful, rich range of papers and embellishments....with a vintage-ish feel.....my favourite was the brown/cream flocked paper you see on the middle bag....gorgeous stuff:-))

 
 

 

 

I can't wait to put a special pres inside these for my 3 "darlings":-))

Hey Hey it's Saturday:-)

 

Woohooooo....what a great day! Yes it may be pouring rain here in SE Qld but I am feeling great:-))))

Amazing what you can achieve when you get up at 5am on a Saturday morning. Why anyone would ever do that I don't know lol.....but we had a trip to the airport this morn so up bright and early it was.

We followed that with a visit to the Chiro,coffee at a local cafe and then some Christmas shopping.....yaaaaay at last!!! I just have not felt up to any sort of shopping so the fact that I have crossed a few names off my list this morning has made me one happy girl:-)

Not to mention the fact that I have also just now finished a card....my first for this week! It's been one of THOSE weeks...you know the ones!....so the completion of this card is a big deal! Happy face!

The pudding image is from Pink Gem, coloured with my Copics and dimensional glaze added to the icing as you'll see below....

Echo Park Chrissy Cards and Tags

Hey there....how's your Monday been? I hope you've had a good one!

Popping in to share with you the cards/tags I've recently created for Shop and Crop....using the sweet Echo Park Christmas papers. I am really liking these Echo Park lines...the papers are great quality and they are coming up with some fantastic patterns/colours/combos.

 
 
 
Apologies for the last 2 photos being smaller.....we're back to dial up speed after I used up all our Broadband for this month while I've been on leave...naughty me...can't blame the kids this month lol.

I've been very creative the last few days finishing off a set of 6 thank you cards that DH needed and completing six 21cm x 21cm layouts for the calendars I give to my Mum and MIL each Christmas.

I'll be back to share more over the coming days.

and blog surfing....I have whipped up a card for this weeks 2 Sketches 4 you Challenge....here's the sketch...

 
I had these poinsettia flowers sitting on my desk...they were a freebie from Anna's Craft cupboard...Anna just threw them in with my latest order...isn't that sweet!....so I thought "I might use those flowers!"...

 
I used the Jamara EF on the Riding Hood Red piece....see the little join marks....I was going to leave little spaces between each piece but then didn't...now I look at it I should've just embossed a 2nd whole piece...aaah well! The doily is from Martha Stewart; rustic twine from Papertrey Ink; sentiment from PTI Holiday Button Bits and the lemon pearl brad is from American Crafts.

Well I'll be back tomorrow to share my sketch for Verve Week 2...hope you can drop by then.

 

Mercy's Sketch and Waltzingmouse Challenge

If I hurry I can submit this card for  Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge...just in the nick of time.

I saw a cute challenge over on the Waltzingmouse Blog tonight and thought Mercy's sketch would work well with the image. You had to use this free digital image (Harriet)...and I straight away thought how sweet she would look in pink.....

Here's the sketch ....

   I dug out my old 6x6 paper pads from last Christmas....BG Eskimo Kisses and Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly and came up with this....

The Sentiment is from Papertrey's Holiday Button Bits set and the charm is from Francheville.

She's quite a sweet little love I think.....and fun to colour:-))
