It was such a lovely surprise for me tonight to receive this Blog Award from Therese. Thank you
so much Therese for your kind words.....Therese is a wonderful card maker who lives just a little further down the coast from me and she is one crafty friend that I have actually met in person.....you must go and check out her awesome work!
Here are the Liebster Award deets.....
What is the Liebster Blog award?
Here is a quick explanation. ‘Liebster’ is German for ‘dearest’. The award is a ‘share-the-love’ arrangement, given to inspirational bloggers with less than 200 followers.
Here’s the to-do list of any Liebster award recipient:
1) Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you
2) Reveal your five blogger picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog
3) Copy and paste the award on your blog (see above)
4) Hope that those you award forward it to their favorite bloggers!
Picking 5 blogs is of course very difficult - how do you narrow it down??....I decided that I wanted to highlight 5 fab Aussie girls whose work I enjoy checking out.....here they are....
Liz Weber - Liz has always been so supportive of my work and leaves lovely encouraging comments on my blog often....I really appreciate that Liz - thank you! Liz makes beautiful cards - always so feminine and pretty!
Alicia McNamara - the wonderful founder of Aussie Cards for Sale who has been a big supporter of my cards - check out Alicia's blog for regular crafty posts and a taste of life in Tamworth.
Nerrida Mitchell - one of the most amazing Aussie scrapbookers I know - her work always inspires me and I love working with the gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers with Nerrida, our fearless leader:-)
Natalie Hearn - creates beautiful, stylish, tasteful cards that I always admire either in the magazines or on her blog.
Dayna Howard - another DT member over at Shop and Crop who has a wonderful bold, layered scrapbooking style that I always oggle at for ages - as I try to take in every little detail.
I hope you enjoy popping into these ladies blogs and seeing their fab work.
Before you go - I do have a card to share tonight..............
my last entry for the Verve sketches for this month...here's the fourth and last sketch for Feb....
Thanks for your visit tonight - see you again soon!

Hey there....how are you this morning?
It's a wet one here in SE QLD...in fact we've had 4 inches of rain overnight!....and it's still coming down. Poor DD is off to help out at her school's Open Day - can't imagine too many people will want to trudge around in the rain checking out a prospective school today - much nicer to stay snuggled warm and dry at home - as I plan to;-))
Actually we have everything crossed that the installers (remember that kitchen reno?) will be back this morning to put the rangehood back up and get all the last little details finished so our kitchen is ALL COMPLETE. Can't wait:-))) I will have photos once it's all done.
Apart from all of that, I do have a card to share for another Verve Feb Sketch....this time for week 2 which looks like this......
I couldn't go past the Kaisercraft Chapter One paper pad again....I think I'll make a set of cards with it for my Verve sketches this month:-)
Apart from this I have been designing the March Card Kit for Shop and Crop....using the very cool A Boy's Life from Echo Park....it's a lot of fun to play with:-) Look out for that next week.
I should be back before then though - with this perfect rainy crafty weather I plan to play with a few more challenges this weekend:-)
Bye for now...

Thank you so much - I really appreciate the comments left and have been able to think about how I can happily dive back into my papercrafting again.
I was feeling overwhelmed by the number of cards that just sit in my cupboard and I remembered that 12 months ago I bundled a pile up and sent them somewhere they'd be appreciated. I needed to do that again !
It felt great!
Just clearing out 25 or so cards has cleared my head and my cupboard a little and now I feel happy to make more. I feel a need to make more - for some reason that's important to me - I don't enjoy just making for the sake of it.
I also plan to bundle up a small number of cards each month and send them off to a family member or friend who will be able to use them as they see fit.....a little RAK I guess.
So, I feel reinvigorated to get crafting again and enjoyed playing last night with one of the current VERVE sketches. It's been a while...and I do love the sweet VERVE sketches....here's # 1 for FEB....
I played with the delightful Kaisercraft One Chapter 6x6 paper pad...I am loving it!
Love the sentiments in the Inkadinkado Friendly Advice set :-)
Hope your week is going great so far.
I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow to catch up with some DT creating....I'll be back to share something again soon.
Cheers!
