I am on a real soft colours kick at the moment and all I want to craft with is pastels lol.

This card for Manor House Creations certainly fits that bill :)

Papers are from MME Follow Your Heart Be Happy Collection; the large background stamp is from Darkroom Door - Splatter Background and the MHC flowers are

Fascinating – Pink and Springtime – Lavender.

I used Crafty Secrets images on all three cards and a mixture of Prima and Scrapcake papers....

Designing with Wood Grain

Hey there - I hope you've had a great start to the week :)

Just popping in this arv to share a recent publication in Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft Magazine.....a feature all to do with the wood grain craze in papercrafting.

Here's my card.....

December Card Kit for Shop and Crop

It's time for another Card Kit over at Shop and Crop.

Last month was the Christmas Kit giving you plenty of time to get them done in time.

This month we're moving on to play with the gorgeous Kaisercraft Forget-Me-Not range to make a few cards to show your love and appreciation for family and friends.

It's a super sweet collection of goodies in this kit.......look at those adorable little crocheted doilies and the sweet butterflies:-))

Love You MHC

Hey there - popping in tonight to share a recent card created for Manor House Creations showcasing these sweet flowers - Darling, Eternity, Petite roses, and MHC Rose leaves – small light green.

Papers are from Simple Stories and my trusty old dictionary :-)

The wooden heart is from Kaisercraft and has been dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The love stamp is from Papertrey Ink's Wonderful Words Additions and the die cut word from their Wonderful Words Die Set.

Look at the sweet colours on this beautiful MHC flower - so soft and delicate with the blushed pink edges and centre :-))

Love Birds

I've been having some more fun with the new Winter Release for Manor House Creations. 

I really went layering mad on this one :-))) - using the gorgeous MHC flowers, Whimsy – Pink, Imagine – Blueberry, Lemon Petite Roses and Sublime – Baby Blue.

 Other items include - Crafty Secret Images; Karen Frances Pink Crepe Paper; Martha Stewart Doily Die Cut; Little Yellow Bicycle Stick Pins and Fancy That Die Cut - French Flourish 1.

See the sweet purply/grey swirled background piece - that's the gorgeous backing you get with the MHC flowers - you will love putting it to good use on your projects :-)

Card fun with Manor House Creations

I have been busy playing with the gorgeous new Winter Collections from MHC. I have two very different cards to share with you today. One fresh and funky, the other sweet and shabby.

My Spellbinders Ironwork Motifs Die - purchased at the Brisbane Papercraft Expo :-)

The Shabby Tea Room #110

With the theme  "Beautiful Roses" and this delicious inspiration picture I could not resist playing along at The Shabby Tea Room this week.....

...those soft sweet colours are some of my very favourites.....I pulled out my matching PTI cardstock (Aqua Mist and Sweet Blush); my MFT Rolled Roses Die (of course) and a Prima journalling card and here's the result -

Wish I'd swiped a little white paint around the edges of my roses now but not to worry lol....I did enjoy shabbying them up a little....

...and adding a couple of little banners to the side...

Shop and Crop April Card Kit

Hey there - how are you?

It's been a busy week for us -

DS turned 18....which of course meant parties and celebrations that went on for a few days! - lol

....and then a trip up to the Sunshine Coast to visit family.

We enjoyed a lovely day out here today ....

......gorgeous Montville. (source) Such a lovely street to wander up and down and soak up all the pretty lovelies in the stores:-)

Now that we're home again it's time to show you this month's Card Kit for Shop and Crop. Kylie sent me the most beautiful Websters goodies to play with this month - from the Sunday Picnic and Everyday Poetry lines.....needless to say I had a fabbo inking, distressing, fussy cutting time :-))

Manor House teams up with Creative Scrappers

Hey there - happy Friday to you :-)

This month Manor House Creations is sponsoring Creative Scrappers for their 200th sketch!! so a few of us DT girls had a fun play with this month's Creative Scrappers sketch using MHC flowers and The Scrapcake Papers - also carried by MHC. 

Here's the fab sketch -

and the card I created based on it....

The papers are Scrap Cake's One Moment in Time papers and they are soft and subtle which I love:-)

MHC flowers I've used are the new Pink Sprinkles and Sugar and Spice in pink too.

Love these fluffy sweet flowers aaaahhh:-)

Well tonight I'm playing with the March Handmade by Suzanne sketch and some gorgeous MME Miss Caroline goodies. I'll be back to share as soon as it's done.

Manor House Creations Valentines Card

Hey there...how's your weekend going?

It's all fun and games here - we're onto day 5 without a kitchen as our kitchen reno takes place - boy having no kitchen is so inconvenient lol! But - looking forward to the end of this week when we should be done or very close to it - yay yay yaaaay :-))

Here's a few reno pics for you -

Firstly, what the old kitchen looked like.... sorry about the dark pics :(

This was Wednesday afternoon - our old kitchen gone ready for the new!

And this is how it looks right now.....waiting for benchtops and splashbacks to be cut and installed...

We're going white again but with overhead cupboards and lots of drawers this time round :-)

Anyway - onto the card making now hey!

Here's a card I created for Manor House Creations....ready for hubby on Valentines' Day:-)

I've used the beautiful MHC Blossoms – Airlie & Esperance -and the brown flower detail I've fussy cut from MHC packaging :-)

I am having such a lovely time on the Manor House Creations Design Team......what's not to love about playing with gorgeous flowers like these :-)) ....

Manor House Creations

I've been having lots of fun with the gorgeous goodies for sale at Manor House Creations - the sweet Scrap Cake papers and fab MHC flowers.

I have a card and a layout to share tonight.

First of all the card, using the Summer at the Seaside patterned papers and a summery Tropics flower. 

Next the layout which uses the FAB November Sketch from Monika....which looks like this....

I loved this sketch with the three smaller photos the minute I laid eyes on it so had to give it a go....

Stamp It Time in Paris Stamp

Hey there....I hope you're having a great week so far!

I have a couple of cards in the current issue of Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine which feature the most gorgeous Stamp It Stamp......Time in Paris.....

aaaaah I hope to have just that one day lol.

 

 
 
Isn't it beautiful!

Now that the cards are published I look forward to pulling out this stamp and playing with it again and again:-)

This one uses Basic Grey's Curio papers.

The next I stamped straight on the doily for a different look.....

I am soooooo looking forward to my day "off" tomorrow.....I have just a little smidge of crafting time planned....in between loads of washing.........I'll be back with more to share before you know it.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

 

Hey there.....how's your weekend going so far?

Another part of our beautiful world being affected by another natural disaster over recent days....hubbie was in Japan last year and our thoughts and prayers are with those we know over there. We haven't been able to make contact with them yet.

For us, today has meant more car shopping.....and we have finally made our decision. Too many cars means too many choices lol. We will soon be the owners of  this sweet blue beauty....

 
....it's the Hyundai i30 SLX Turbo Diesel.......very economic for all the driving I do each week.

I'm relieved to think that we don't have to take up next Saturday looking at cars again :-))

Last night I played happily with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge which looks like this.....
