With the theme  "Beautiful Roses" and this delicious inspiration picture I could not resist playing along at The Shabby Tea Room this week.....

...those soft sweet colours are some of my very favourites.....I pulled out my matching PTI cardstock (Aqua Mist and Sweet Blush); my MFT Rolled Roses Die (of course) and a Prima journalling card and here's the result -

Wish I'd swiped a little white paint around the edges of my roses now but not to worry lol....I did enjoy shabbying them up a little....

...and adding a couple of little banners to the side...

I created this card first and then thought I'd make a couple more using the same layout but changing the colours, papers and die cuts used. I do love this basic card sketch - a fave of mine:-)

Time for me to get another load of washing out - what are "days off" for right!?

CPS#217

Good Saturday morning to you:-) What a beautiful Autumn day it is here in SE Qld too....just makes me happy!

Before I get onto my card, here's a little bit about me today....

 feeling – happy it's the weekend

 enjoying – a leisurely Saturday morning around the house

 

creating – nothing yet but will attack a challenge later in the day:-)

wanting – to make Pumpkin Soup with the Butternut Pumpkin that' s been sitting on my kitchen bench for 2 weeks!

needing – wood for our fire

listening –  to my boys down the back chopping that same wood:-)

thinking – that I'm glad it's them and not me!

wondering – how the Royal Honeymoon is going??

:) So there's a little bit of "random" from me this morning.

Last night I played with the current sketch at Card Positioning Systems #217 which looks like this....

I wanted to use some more of the gorgeous Crate Paper Portrait Collection papers and I let them do all the work on this card...

Cardstock: SU! Black

I just love the colours in this paper....it's the teal that does it.....yum yum yum!
