Doily flower Card

Hey there...how's your week been?

Can't believe I haven't been on for a good few days....I've been busily making cards - just nothing I can show you yet....including the 4 cards for the September Card Kit for Shop and Crop which will be up on the 1st of next month....I had LOTS of fun with them....great products in the next kit:-))

So until a few new things can be revealed...here's an oldie I haven't shown you yet....playing around with a sweet little doily, Melissa Francis Crepe paper, a Pink Paislee Artisan shape, Prima Flower and embossed paper which I've inked up....

Shabby Tea Room Mix and Match

Hey there...Happy Sunday to you!

What a beautiful day it is here too:-)

I'm in a rush to get this up before I'm out the door to help at the fete...my card for this week's Shabby Tea Room Challenge....the theme is Mix and Match - using at least 3 patterned papers..... and we have this sweet inspiration piccie....

Mixing and matching is never hard for me lol....here's my Thank You Card....

Papers are Pink Paislee's Sweetness Collection; image (which I'm counting as one of my patterned papers) is a Crafty Secret Creative Scrap; stamps are TSG for Sentiment, Crafty Secrets for bird on white tag and PTI for xoxo stamp.

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge

Hey there....Happy Sunday morning to you! 

I'm back to share my card for this week's Shabby Tea Room Challenge. Charlene has given us this puurrty inspiration pic and a few guidelines to base our project on.....

.....she asks that we create a card or project with TWO PATTERNED PAPERS (manufactured or handmade), FOUR BUTTONS AND SIX LAYERS!

I just love the look of all those sweet coloured doilies all lined up - I was inspired to die my own doily, incorporate some of the same colours and then it was no mean feat to limit it to JUST 6 layers.......I really wanted to add a flower or ribbon/twine....but the whole "just 6 layers" deal put an end to that lol :-)

Anyway here's my card....

The Shabby Tea Room and Skipping Stones Designs

Well I took the sketch VERY literally......here you go....

Papers are Bo Bunny's Gabrielle line.

That sweet butterfly cluster makes me smile.

My darling family also make me smile...they just surprised me with a "Love You Mum" chocolate cake for dessert.....just the Woolies variety chocolate mud cake but still very sweet of them all the same.

Hey there......Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums out there! I hope you are enjoying your special day!

Mine started with gifts and breakfast in bed.....a big cooked brekkie....delicious! My main present will hopefully be here tomorrow....a big order from Papertrey Ink....I had been stalking the site for weeks waiting for the Tiny Tags Dies to be back in stock so I could finally place my order.....can't wait to get my hands on my new PTI!!!

Hey there! How are you this morning? TGIF hey:-)))

Since I'm all ready to head off to work but am ever so patiently (!) waiting for two teens to get ready, thought I'd pop on here and post my latest card.

I used the latest Cardabilities sketch #25 cause I just LOVE the label shape on the front:-))

 
So I pulled out my Labels 8 Nesties, Thrift Shop papers from October Afternoon, Copics and my There She Goes Day or Night stamp set and here's the result......

CAS Notecards - Verve and CR84FN

 

Hey there...how was your day?

Great day here....my day "off" is always a great day I have to say:-))

I had time for some creative play...first off I needed to restock my note cards...I go through a lot of these throughout the year....popping them in with cards I make, mail I send....that sort of thing. So I kept these clean and simple - very unlike me but they'll serve their purpose very well....

 
Stamps are from PTI's Turning A New Leaf set, Mega Mixed Messages and SU!'s Sweet Little Sentiments and Really Retro sets.

Next I have my card for Verve's Feb Week 3 Sketch....which looks like this....

 
I combined the sketch with the latest colours over at Mona's Create4Fun Colour Challenge...

 ...bright and beautiful aren't they:-)

What a week it's been...I need some serious card making therapy just to get over it I think lol!

Sweet Treats

 

Woohooo it's Friday! Isn't Friday afternoon a grrrreeeaaat time of the week :-)))

It's been a torrid week again for Qld'ers hasn't it....let's hope that the Weather Gods smile on us a little more for the rest of the year....enough is enough me thinks!

I am back this arvo to share a set of cards I made back in December using my new There She Goes Just for You set...and the so so sweet My Mind's Eye Tickled Pink papers.

 
Colouring was done with Copic Markers and the dry embossing is the Marg's Melodies EFolder.

 
This background stamp is from Hero Arts and I've heat embossed it in white.

 

 
I just love the 2 label shapes in the Just for You set......must pull them out and have another play:-)

I've had time to play tonight with the gorgeous inspiration challenge over at the Shabby Tea Room. This adorable baby's room had me at "hello" I can tell you lol. What do you think?...

 
Oh my lord isn't it sweet!

So I couldn't resist pulling out some pinks and creams and going to town using the current Mojo Monday sketch....which looks like this....

 
I went with the square version and here's my card....

 

Text stamp is the Friend cling background from Hero Arts; patterned paper is from the My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink paper pad; cardstock is Creamy Caramel and Very Vanilla (yumm sounds good huh:-)); sentiment stamp is from TSG's Dance set and rosette created with Melissa Francis cream crepe paper, a Lacey Circle Nestability, a Prima flower, Grandma's clear button and some hand died Martha Stewart seam binding - died with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.

 
I had fun putting this sweet embellishment together:-)

Well my family have all headed off to bed and the house is beautiful and quiet....aaaaaaaah! I'm off to make the most of the peace and quiet....hard to come by these days!

Pink, black and grey

 

Hey there....how was your first day of the New Year?

Our neighbours are a day late and have been celebrating New Year's Eve tonight so instead of trying to sleep through the music I figured I'd stay up creating.

I've had lots of fun with Mona's latest CR84FN challenge....it looks like this....

 
I pulled out my Kaisercraft After Five paper pad which is perfect for the greys/black and added some KC ribbon and AC glitter paper to come up with this....

 
...stamp set is again from There She Goes....love that label shape:-))

 
Love the shiny embossed papers in the After Five collection.

Well - can't hear any more music so I'm off to get my beauty sleep. See you again with some creativity to share in a day or so.

We had a great night in....with 7 teenagers (including our 2) and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

I'm slowly trying to regain some creative time in amongst the bedlam that is this time of year....I've managed to have a play with this sweet new There She Goes Set called Just for You....

Hey there....how's your Friday going?

I'm popping in very quickly to link up the card I made Tuesday night...I was trying to keep my mind busy the night before surgery.

All went well....they encourage you to move as much as you can so I'm doing that...as much as I can. I'll spare you the gross pic of the gallstones....lots and lots of little ones.

I made this card for the TSG challenge this week...to create a scene on your card...and I used the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #81 which looks like this....

Verve Week 4

 
Hey there....how's your week going? Not long and the weekend will be here....yaaaaay:-)

I'm back to share my card for the latest Verve Sketch Challenge for week 4. Here's the sketch we had to follow....

 
....and we had to combine it with something that's inspiring us at the moment. Well here in the beautiful land Down Under the beauty of spring is inspiring me at the moment with gorgeous flowers blooming all around so I chose this beautiful flower pic....to focus my attention on.

 

The reds and yellows encouraged me to use my October Afternoon papers.....

 
and the sweet little There She Goes set called Polka Dot Blooms. This is the other thank you card DH needed. The little cream paper lace under the green grass.....came all the way from Japan. Not saying that you probably can't get it from over here somewhere too but DH chose me 4 different types when he was there....nice that he had me and my crafting needs in mind :-))

 

Alrighty, I'm heading over to SCS Verve Challenges to link this up.....now that I'm back on Broadband ...wooohooo:-)))) Thanks to an email from Therese I was prompted to give Telstra another ring. I didn't have any luck with them last week but tonight the lovely lady on the other end of the phone told me that they now do 50gig/month for the same price we are paying for 25 gig. Did I want that she said? DID I EVER!!! You little ripper!! Now we shouldn't run out ever again:-) (Yeh right!) But ssshhhhhh don't tell the kids.....or they'll be You Tubing til the cows come home and chew through it I'm sure. And to think that not long ago we got by on just a measly 12 gig.....oh my....what a joke that is now lol.
