Hey there...how are you today?
We have had a very relaxing day around the house today with Mum pottering in my garden and repotting plants for me. She loves to garden whereas I hate it...eeew, dirt on my hands...icky! For me it's a crafting passion, for Mum it's the garden. So when she comes down she always tidies up my pergola pots and gives my plants some much needed TLC....love that:-)
Here's a couple of Christmas Cards I finished last night.....
I have used up some leftover Kaisercraft papers from last Christmas....I love the patterns and colours on this range. Again my inspiration came from the gorgeous work of Carla Peicheff. I am loving a few new Fiskars Border Punches I got at Spotlight....love the pretty touch they add to my cards. The tags were old Jenni Bowlin journalling tags...if the front detail on the card didn't work for me I turned it over and used the plain back, inked the edges and added my sentiment. The "Christmas is the Joy of Giving...." stamp is one I was given and is by Stamp It....love the wording on this one. Here are the close ups....
The wording on this card I've created with American Craft Rub Ons...the tag came with the stars and "Remember" on it and I added the rest.
The stitching on these 2 is faux as my sewing machine is in the guest bedroom and I didn't want to wake Mum last night LOL....she is very supportive of my crafting obsession but that might be pushing my luck huh:0))
Actually Mum is going through my card stash at the moment....to pick out a few favourites which I encourage her to do. It's something I started on Mother's Day this year when I gave her this box of cards. I'm glad she has used the cards I gave her then and is now choosing a few more for upcoming birthdays and other occasions....makes me happy to share my cards around like this and have my Mum appreciate my work:-)
Okay gotta run...dinner is ready:-)
See you tomorrow....

These cards are GORGEOUS!
