Kaisercraft Photo Stands

Kaisercraft Photo Stand close up

Hey are you today?

For most of Australia, today is the day that the kiddlies start back at school after the looooong summer holidays.....our 2 had 8 weeks off so getting up at 6:30am and putting leather shoes on this morning was a BIG shock to their systems.

So here I am at home, alone, for the first time in 8 weeks and that's a pretty odd feeling too. Just enjoying some crafting and catching up with emails and organising a trip away in September, so lots of bits and pieces keeping me busy.

I had some fun on the weekend playing with the new Kaisercraft Photo Stands available at Shop and Crop. I have altered 2, one for myself and one for my Teacher Aide who I thought of as soon as I saw these with their cute little heart shapes....we will use them at work on our desks:)

This first one is mine....with the colours and look I love....

I have actually inked it up a bit since taking this photo so it is more distressed looking on the bows and hearts.....

very happy with how it turned out ....

Well, that's all for today...I still have my 6x6 layouts for the Southern Cross Kids Camp to share with you along with a double layout for January...but I'll leave those til another day.

Thanks for visiting....have a happy day and see you again soon.

Happy Australia Day!

Hey there! Happy Australia Day to you!!

Today we celebrate how lucky we are to live in this amazing country. Are you doing anything special?

I'd love to hear what you're up to:-)

We have friends coming over for a's our Australia Day menu -

- home made sausage rolls for starters

-  a burger with the lot (which means a homemade burger pattie, barbeque sauce, bacon, egg, beetroot, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, cheese, grilled onion on a fresh burger bun)

- mango and passionfruit pavlova for dessert

- tim tams and lamingtons with tea/coffee

....looks pretty good huh:0))  Should be a great day!

Whatever you get up to I hope it's marvellous. I know as I enjoy this classic Aussie feast, I will be appreciating how lucky I am to live the life we do here in Australia.

Share your Australia Day celebrations in a comment....would love to hear what other people are doing.

Crazy for Challenges card...

Hey there....hope your Sunday has been just swell:)

Ours has been absolutely sweltering...while the evening weather report said it was 30 degrees at the Gold Coast today they must have been standing in front of someone's freezer at the time cause at our place the thermometer said 36 degrees and it was blaaaahhhh. Thank god for the air-con but then I worry about the state of the planet with everyone's air-cons constantly humming away. Oh dear.

Anyway, I've had a fun play with the Crazy for Challenges challenge for the week...haven't managed to do one for a while....this week you have to design using the colour I chose a rosey version of pink and here 'tis...

C4C and Cards
....the idea came from a card of Nichole Heady's using the wonderful Papertrey set Heart Prints of course. Ink used is SU!'s Rose Red and Staz-On white.

I've also managed to make 10 pages for the Southern Cross Kids Camp Memory Books...and they're packaged up ready to go in tomorrow's mail to Julie Stone the coordinator of the project.

I'll pop back tomorrow to share them with you.

Bye for now...
